Hopescope book donation 2023

We, at Hopescope Foundation got together once again to reach out to nearly 3000 under-privileged children in rural areas  in an endeavour to secure their access to school education, at a time that school dropout rate is rapidly increasing due to  the dire financial constraints faced by parents.  

Accordingly, we planned to donate schoolbooks for selected schools in the Polonnaruwa, and Anuradhapura districts, which mainly include students from low-income families. which was then followed by a similar initiative in Mullaitivu and  Hambantota districts in the following weeks.

Thanks to the generous contributions of the kindhearted donors of approximately LKR 10Million, each student will receive  a set of exercise books which is sufficient for the entire school year, thus providing them an assurance to continue their  school education for another year.  

We began our journey from Polonnaruwa which then was extended to Anuradhapura. Approximately 3000 students in  rural Sri Lanka received packs of books, biscuits, and milk packets as refreshments.
